I’ll be one of 5 painters participating in the Artisans’ Co-op Painters’ Showcase on March 18, 2017 from noon to 7 pm. There will be demonstrations from noon to 4 pm and a reception and raffle from 4 pm to 7 pm. Hope to see you there, Carolyn.
You might be wondering what inspires me to paint. A source of inspiration is the ocean, vineyard and farmland scenery where I live in Sonoma county, California.
A favorite, inspirational spot I visit often is the Bodega Head Trail, a 2 mile hike on high cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The weather and light is different every time, so I never get tired of it.
Local vineyards provide lots of inspiration too, especially in the fall with their yellow, orange and red colors.
Tune in next week for another source of inspiration for my paintings.
I painted Tropical Sea last week on a rainy, cold day in my California studio. This painting was inspired by memories of previous vacations to tropical beaches. Happy New Year, Carolyn.
